Day 350 - Xmas party and name reveal

Dear Simba,

Since your daddy got back from work, we’ve been busy preparing for the Christmas party and the name reveal we’re hosting tomorrow. It’s now past midnight, and we haven’t stopped all evening, but we really want to make it a wonderful celebration.

I’ve been reflecting on whether I feel ready to share her name. Saying it out loud makes it feel so real, as if everything is certain to go well. But what if it doesn’t? What if we’ve celebrated too soon?

After thinking it through, I realized that even if things don’t go as planned, it wouldn’t take away from the fact that she exists, that she has a name, and that we celebrated the joy and anticipation of her arrival into this world.
